The conference at the Hungarian Sport House welcomed over 70 participants, including domestic and international guests, as well as MASÜSZ member companies and sports organizations.
The professional event of MASÜSZ, SportUp, was honored by the presence of László Fábián, Secretary General of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, Dr. Balázs Baji, Director General of the National Institute for Sport Development and Methodology (NSMI), and Tamás Märcz, Sports Diplomacy Ambassador of NSMI. From Banská Bystrica, Prof. PhDr. Peter Terem, PhD, Vice-Rector of Matej Bel University, and Vladimír Franek, PhD, Deputy Dean of the Department of Sports Science, also arrived.
The purpose of the extraordinary conference was to connect, strengthen, and showcase the numerous areas of sports and business, as well as the possibilities of sustainable and innovative sports management.
Renáta Kosaras, President of MASÜSZ, emphasized in her welcoming speech:
„We would like to create a bridge between the entrepreneurial and sports sides. With MASÜSZ, we are creating a meeting point where sports and business stakeholders can think together, cooperate, and share their experiences for the development of the sports industry. That's why we're here today. Nowadays, sports are undergoing huge changes and have become an important industry with significant economic importance. It's essential to develop joint projects with the active participation of sports industry stakeholders, in addition to dialogue,” emphasized the President.
During the event, four professional roundtable discussions took place, where industry experts shared their thoughts on current issues in the sports business.
The conference participants could learn about the views of Prof. Dr. Gábor Géczi, Head of the Department of Sports Management at the University of Physical Education, on innovations within sports management and their relationship with sustainability. The expert highlighted:
„During the day, useful and practical suggestions and ideas were presented, but they will only be effective if we start implementing our opportunities tomorrow.”
Dr. Miklós Gór-Nagy, world champion water polo player, sports diplomacy advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, spoke at the Game Changers roundtable about how he successfully supports international relations, sports organizations, and sports industry companies in his second career as an athlete, both abroad and at home.
The central theme of the further roundtable discussions was innovation in digitalization, sports sponsorship, sustainability, and merchandising, as well as marketing communication, selection processes, and integrity.

The association encompasses a wide range of active professional communities, aiming to promote sports professionals' interests, education, economic sustainability, and create professional materials. For its members, MASÜSZ continues to support the innovation and development of the sports industry through the organization of SportUp events, workshops, and domestic and international conferences.
At the 2025 spring event of MASÜSZ SportUp, professional knowledge sharing was also realized through an active networking workshop. The event was a Game Changers event, which examined the multifaceted connection of sports from several aspects, with the involvement of expert opinions.
