The sports organizations new and innovative resources - III. MASÜSZ SportUp 2026 event.

The III. MASÜSZ SportUp professional day has duly justified the Hungarian Sports Business Association's efforts to manage sports, business, and human well-being in a unified system, thus providing a genuine professional direction for the domestic sports sector.

The all-day event was attended by nearly 90 people - MASÜSZ members, partners, and interested parties - which is particularly important given that participation was limited to ticket purchases for the first time this year. The spirit of our participating members contributed to the fact that not only lectures but also real professional connections and substantial discussions were established during the day.

The backbone of the professional content was provided by our SportBusiness360® and SportWellbeing360® programs, which clearly outlined the past, current, and future challenges of the sports sector.

The role of connections came into focus, as it became clear that the development of sports economy should no longer be based on individual performances but on cooperation. Our MASÜSZ community members can be extremely proud that exemplary cooperation and collaboration are being realized among them. The rethinking of sponsorship models was also a central theme - participants agreed that traditional, visibility-based approaches should be replaced by value-creating, experience-, and data-driven partnerships.

Data as a strategic toolkit played a key role in rethinking fan management and revenue models. MASÜSZ experts pointed out that digital systems, technological developments, and data management integrated into organizational operations are now a basic operating model on which long-term, sustainable business solutions should be built. The Hungarian Sports Business Association's SportBusiness Lab project provides solutions in this area for sports organizations.

Our SportWellbeing360® program conveyed a clear message: workplace well-being is not a complementary element but a strategic decision. It is the leaders' responsibility to create an environment where physical and mental balance is not an individual struggle but organizationally supported operation. Nutrition, sleep, mental state, and health preservation are not isolated issues but basic conditions for sustainable performance. Our goal is for this approach to appear as a tool in the sports sector in the long run, as a solution to the global problem of labor shortages.

Throughout the day, there was continuous joint thinking and open problem-raising. The questions asked and the answers provided served as a starting point for further professional work in the coming years. The active presence of participants, straightforward opinions, and reflective conversations created a foundation that goes beyond a one-day event.

One of the most memorable and emotionally highlighted moments of the event was the inspiring conversation preceding the SportWellbeing360® program block, where Zsófia Törőcsik, world record holder in freediving, shared her experiences with Árpád Bányász, a sports journalist awarded the Nívó Prize. The audience listened with bated breath to what kind of mental and physical preparation is necessary to stay underwater for nearly four minutes and dive to a depth of 105 meters. This conversation not only provided inspiration but also a tangible example of the complex human factors behind performance.

The feedback clearly confirms: the III. MASÜSZ SportUp was not just an event but a professional platform that gives rank to joint thinking and provides direction for the development of the sports sector. Both organizers and participants feel that the processes started here will have a long-term impact on the operation of domestic sports.

For MASÜSZ, this event is further proof that the future of sports lies in cooperation, innovation, and a human-centered approach. The work continues, and the next steps are already being formed - we would like to thank our members and those who want to join our community for being with us. Let's play as a team!

Renáta Kosaras, President of MASÜSZ, said about the event:
"The future of sports is no longer decided on the field, but in how we think about it. We are building a professional platform where sports become business, knowledge, and real competitive advantage. The question is no longer whether development is needed, but whether we are able to think in new operating models. The value of the professional day will not be determined by what we heard, but by what we will do differently tomorrow."
